A Message From The Head of the Junior School – Friday, June 12, 2026

Dear Junior School Families,

Today marks our final edition of “The Weekly – Junior School” for the 2025 – 2026 school year. Congratulations to all of our students, families, faculty and staff for another successful school year!

Wednesday’s Closing Ceremony was a wonderful opportunity for us to gather together as a community and to reflect on our year together. I am always blown away by the incredible confidence and poise our students show while performing, as well as by how they can speak so reflectively and with such gratitude about being part of our community.

I am particularly grateful for the opportunity to honour and celebrate both Mr. Reiter and Ms. Watt for their incredible contributions to the Junior School, and to wish them well in the next exciting chapter of their lives!

Wishing everyone a healthy and happy summer!

Sincerely,

Kate

A Message From The Head of the Junior School – Friday, June 5, 2026

Dear Junior School Families,

HAPPY GATOR DAY!!!

After three years of having to hold Gator Day inside, I am happy to report that the weather cooperated today, and we were able to enjoy this much-loved event outside! With just under a week to go before the end of the year, I can’t think of a better way to finish the week than by being outside, engaging in a little friendly house competition and just being together as a community.

A huge note of thanks to our Phys Ed Team and Grade 6 leaders for all of the planning and preparation that went into making today such a success.

While it is always a tight race, top honours go to AGNES HANSEN, who took home the Gator Cup this year! Our students are now waiting with bated breath to see who will win the House Banner, which recognizes the House with the most points earned throughout the year, and will be presented at the Closing Ceremony next Wednesday.

Congratulations to all of our athletes today for their spirit, participation, and fabulous attitudes! It was a truly awesome day.

Warmly,

Kate

Packing Up For The School Year

Teachers will be supporting students throughout next week in sending personal belongings and school work home. Please provide your child with a couple of reusable bags for them to help bring these materials home.

Havergal Mini World Cup

With the global anticipation building for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, which Canada is co-hosting, our Junior School students have been channelling that same electric energy into our very own Havergal Mini World Cup! Students in grades 4-6 made their own teams and chose a country that will be playing in the actual World Cup.

After some fantastic matches, the tournament is reaching its peak, and two European heavyweights, France and Germany, will face off in the final next Tuesday at lunch recess. The winners will then play an elite teacher team.

With Canada’s first official match in the World Cup kicking off next Friday, June 12th right here in Toronto, we hope this school tournament inspires our students to tune in and cheer on Les Rouges.
