It has been an active first week back from March Break, as we celebrated the Persian New Year in Prayers, joined together as a community for the HCPA Bake Sale, and met with families for Parent-Teacher Interviews.  We are so excited to begin the Spring Term, and look forward to continuing what has already been a fantastic year.

Pizza Day

Just a reminder – Pizza Day is on Monday, April 1st

Father Daughter A Maze-ing Race -Last day to buy tickets!

TODAY is the LAST DAY  to purchase your Father Daughter A Maze-ing Race tickets!
The A Maze-ing Race will be held on Sunday, April 28th and we would love to see every family in the Junior School attend. Participants are organized by House to compete in head-to-head challenges and includes a festive party to crown the winners of the race.
Students can bring a parent, guardian or another significant adult over the age of 21 to this event. They also have the option of joining other father/daughter pairs if their parents are unavailable.

Greek Orthodox Easter

On April 29th, girls will be offering a message on Greek Orthodox Easter.  If you and your daughter mark this celebration in your home, and your daughter would like to speak in Prayers, please contact Rev. Ramadan Prayers

On Friday, May 3rd, we will be having Ramadan Prayers in the JS.  If your family observes Ramadan, and your daughter is interested in speaking in Prayers, please contact Rev. Douglas at sdouglasbowman@havergal.on.ca.”

Parent Math Seminar Registration Link

If you are interested in learning more about Number structure as a mathematical concept and doing some math, sign up for a parent math class on April 9. The primary session Gr 1-3 is from 9-11:30 and the Junior session is from 1-3:30.  Space is limited to 20  per class so please just sign up for one session.  We will have a wait list so we may be able to provide another session later in the year.  Come with a pencil, eraser and some paper because you are going to be doing math!

Athletics

Athletic Schedule for the Spring Athletic Season.

A detailed schedule with games and meets will be released in the April 12th blog when the dates have been confirmed.

    • Softball Team and Track Team start the week of April 1st to May 22nd.  
    • Multi-sport Squad, Soccer squad, Jump Rope Squad & Softball squad team start the week of April 8th and go until the week of May 27th.
