Message from the Head of Junior School: August 30, 2018

Dear Junior School Parents,

Welcome to the 2018-2019 School Year!  We have been eagerly anticipating your return, and are looking forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday. You will receive a link to a blog posting from me every Friday.  The purpose of this blog is to share critical information for the upcoming week, as well as to share stories about our students and school.

We are grateful for your feedback last year regarding the weekly blog.  We hope that you enjoy the new format, and that it will provide a clear understanding of the day to day operations of the Junior School.

This week’s message reiterates the schedule for the opening week.  As always, if you have any questions please contact your classroom teacher, the office or me.

Warmly,
Kate White

Jewish High-Holiday Prayers – Invitation

The chaplains, Rev. Douglas and Rev. Pak, would like to invite interested students in grades 3-6 to share their families’ Rosh Hashanah/Yom Kippur traditions as the message at Prayers on September 17th.
Students would need to meet over the lunch hour on September 7th, 10th, and 12th with Rev. Douglas and Rev. Pak.  Please email Rev. Douglas at sdouglasbowman@havergal.on.ca if your daughter is interested in participating.  Digital images of your family celebrations would be most welcome.
Parents, family members and friends coming to Prayers that morning are invited for coffee and light refreshments afterwards in the Learning Hub.
